Required and recommended supporting components

Stage 1 and APR Plus are not represented by APR as requiring performance hardware. Home flashing requires EM100040 Ultralink plus compatible APR software access and stable battery voltage; dealer flashing does not require the customer to own Ultralink. North American ethanol files are not flex-fuel, and APR recommends an ethanol-content sensor when using them.

Consultation-led software service. The essential work is ECU identification, file and fuel selection, state and warranty-path review, activation, safe OBDII flashing, post-flash procedure, fault review, and documentation.

Installation notes

Not every stage, fuel, or feature is available for every box-code revision. Do not activate or flash until APR confirms the exact file. Maintain stable voltage and do not interrupt programming. APR's published post-flash sequence is to cycle the key twice, lock the vehicle, wait 15 minutes, and then start it.

Warranty

Standard Stage 1 does not include a powertrain warranty. Eligible software may have APR's current 30-day refund terms and free software updates. APR Plus is separate and may track the remaining factory powertrain-warranty term in the U.S. and Canada, but it has strict dealer, service, modification, racing, track, and driver-education exclusions. Confirm eligibility and current written terms before quoting it.

Emissions and California notice

APR classifies this software as Emissions Code 7. APR states that Code 7 products meet the basis of its EPA Tampering Policy but are not legal for sale or use in California while CARB approval is pending. Confirm federal, state, and local requirements before sale or activation.
