DEVELOPMENT
Acting on our initial goal of maximizing sound and performance potential from a cat-back exhaust system delivered us immediate results with our Over Axle Pipes and rear exhaust system. But for those who’d like to dial it back when appropriate, a Valved Exhaust System would meet their sound goals with valves open AND valves closed. With a full 3-inch X-Pipe in either valve operating condition, that wonderful high-pitched flat-six sound comes to life but can be suppressed when necessary. Combined with Resonated Over Axle Pipes, that sound can be further amplified along with a boost in performance by uncorking that factory bottleneck. It is a complete package for those who truly want it all. Unfortunately, there was more that it came with: drone.
To drivers who opt for the civility of a Valved Exhaust System, excess drone is not an acceptable byproduct. The GT4 RS’ potent 4.0-liter flat-six brings plenty of it, especially once we’ve turned up the volume on it. Instead of just accepting defeat, we went after a solution, even as it required several evolutions and plenty of testing. Our design of “drone canisters” was finalized and installed as it successfully hit the volume requirements we calculated to target the drone frequencies in the low-to-mid 2,000 RPM range, shifting the drone zone down the rev range and reducing peak frequencies significantly. As a result, drivers can enjoy the motorsports tone that our X-Pipe creates in its fullest expression, or mute it when necessary and cruise comfortably.
Due to the design of the system with these drone canisters, fitment is only possible when combined with aftermarket Over Axle Pipes. Our Street Package pairs our Valved Exhaust System with our Over Axle Pipes for a remarkable change in character and volume with valves open, but drone reduced as much as possible with valves closed for as civilized a cruising experience as we could develop—especially driven in Sport mode where the optimal shift points during typical driving are outside the peak “drone zone.” This package allows the OAPs to be optioned as Competition or Resonated, with the Competition selection offering more overall sound level potential with valves open, closer to the Race Exhaust Package. The Resonated version allows for a more modest sound level potential, additionally reducing the drone level at lower revs and producing a smoother tone.
HAND-CRAFTED CONSTRUCTION
Mandrel bent, durable .065″” T304L stainless steel tubing
Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration for exceptional strength and longevity
Water jet cut brackets are made to ISO 9001:2015 standards with ultra-tight tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision
Fabricated using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as a heat sink during the welding process to prevent any warpage
Optional hand-applied heat shielding prevents radiant heat from shedding into the engine bay
EXHAUST TIP SELECTION
For those looking to maintain the factory appearance, this system can be used with OEM exhaust tips. However, the OEM tips feature a much smaller diameter inlet, requiring the system to be necked down, which introduces a restriction and reduces overall performance. To extract the most from your GT4 RS, we strongly recommend selecting our high-performance exhaust tips, designed to complement the full 3-inch system without any compromises. Choose between double wall tips or our Weissach style stainless steel tips.
BOLT ON AND GO
Every component is rigorously quality-checked, tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment, and then foam packed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. New high-grade hardware is included for installation.

My 2025 GT4RS has just been transformed. After much anticipation and painfully slow and methodical break-in process, yesterday my car went into the shop as an amazing car with huge potential and came out a completely different car. Allow me to explain. Throughout the break-in process, I have thoroughly enjoyed the car. This isn't my first Porsche, far from it. Having owned several 911's, and my current daily being a tastefully spec'ed and modified 2024 Macan GTS, I had a vision for the GT4RS before taking ownership. I followed the break-in process perfectly. Slowly and gradually building RPM as I drove up to 1,500km's, varying the type of driving that I did, never once excessively accelerating, braking, or truth be told, driving to the potential that the car beneath me craved. This was reflected in the truth that my oil consumption was nil, never once having to add any oil through this process. Last weekend I hit 1,500 km's, only having enjoyed moderate spirited driving between 5k-7k rpm and only taken the car up to 7k rpm on a few "roll on" occasions towards the middle and end of the break-in procedure, and finally touching 8k rpm once. She is READY! Into the shop it went for its first oil and filter change (3.85 liters removed, 4.00 liters added - so I consumed +/- 0.15 of a liter of oil during break-in). But the big news is the change that I made to the car itself. In my garage has sat its first major modification that has truly changed the way the car looks, sounds, and performs. I had my shop remove the factory OAP and Rear exhaust, and install a Soul Resonated OAP and Valved Rear section. This is Soul's "Street Package", and after picking up the car yesterday and taking it on its maiden voyage, I couldn't be more impressed with the result.
First let me talk about the quality of the Soul product. The welds are perfect. The flanges, are welded both inside and outside the flange (unlike most). The bends and radius's are smooth and identical from side to side, and it is a true 3" exhaust now (internal diameter), from OAP to exhaust tip. I went with the Brushed Soul slash tips, and I like it much better than the Weissach tips the car originally came with. (I may offend some with that comment - but I never liked the large rolled edges of the Weissach tip). Ok, lets get to the meat of the review. The increase in power and torque at around 5,000rpm onward is immediately noticeable. This is confirmed by my traction light flashing every time I roll into it in a spirited fashion - something that I never noticed before. I have yet to stand on it from 5k rpm, but that time will come when I can access more open roads to allow me to do so. I also noticed that my engine temps seem to be 3, 4, 5 degrees cooler than before, even though the ambient temps are the same as my last drive prior to the car going into the shop and my driving was much more spirited on that first drive after coming out of the shop. Not sure if that is just the cooling system working to keep up to the way I was driving yesterday, or it is a bi-product of the OAP's and X-Pipe exhaust getting back pressure and heat build up out and away from the engine. Will have to go on a few more drives to figure that out. Lastly the sound. OMG. With the valves open, off idle initially, and then after going up over 4k rpm when the valves open again, this things sounds amazing. Completely transformed the car, and now has the perfect balance between intake and exhaust sound. The pitch and tone with the x-pipe and the resonated OAP's is clean, and very refined while provding that high pitched scream that I was wanting in an exhaust. (John at Soul confirmed with me prior to ordering that the resonated OAP's will have a cleaner and higher pitched "more refined" sound than the non-resonated versions - with slightly less overall sound with no sacrifice in performance). HE WAS BANG ON! The throttle response has also gotten much sharper and those downshifts with the PDK sport button on are savage! Here's the beauty of it all. Turn off the exhaust via the console button (or as I call it in my house - "the wife button") , and the exhaust is I think quieter than stock with the same button pushed, FOR SURE way less drone in that lower RPM range between 2k-3k, which is perfect if you are cruising on the highway and looking to have a conversation, or listen to a podcast or favorite song.) It is the perfect Jekyll and Hyde exhaust set up, and I want to thank the entire Rennlist community. You all were exactly correct about the transformation an exhaust would have on this car! I never thought it would be as significant as it is, and for those of you sitting on the fence, DO IT, and if you haven't yet pulled the trigger, you can do no wrong picking up the phone and talking to those fine folks over at Soul Performance to discuss what you might be looking for out…
