The 9A2 EVO engine used in all 992 Carreras (based on the 991.2 Carrera 9A2 engine with minor improvements) is a high-performance machine designed for power. Porsche employs identical mechanical components in the base, S, and GTS models. The lightweight aluminum block is reinforced by 150 micron iron-coated cylinder liners utilizing plasma wire transfer arc technology. Furthermore, Porsche has integrated a forged crankshaft, rods, and pistons for a remarkably robust rotating assembly, capable of withstanding increased levels of boost pressure.

Installation

The GTS Turbochargers are a direct replacement and simple swap. They reuse all of the same hardware. Install can take place in about 4-5 hours. Tuning is necessary.
